    New container route to Copenhagen

    Yesterday, the container ship "Ruth" called CMP's port in Copenhagen. Ruth will be a regular visitor at the terminal as she is part of CMA CGM's new container route "Denmark Express CS". The new route connects Copenhagen, Aarhus and Fredericia with the two large container hubs Hamburg and Bremerhaven.
    The new route is to the benefit of the whole of Eastern Denmark as it increases the frequency

    On August 19 and 20, the Denmark Sail Grand Prix takes place in Nordhavn, Copenhagen.
    SailGP is a high-paced sailing race with eight national teams competing across the globe and in this third season visiting Copenhagen for the first time. CMP is very excited to follow the ultra-fast F50 catamarans right at our doorstep - and we of course have a special eye to the Denmark SailGP home-team!

    CMP established has a clear target of being climate neutral in our own operations by 2025. An integral part of this work is our transition from natural gas to biogas for the heating of CMP’s properties in Malmö. The decision to phase out natural gas was made near the end of 2020 and the shift was accomplished in the beginning of last year.

    One significantly important part of the efforts to achieve CMP’s climate goal of carbon neutrality by 2025 is the replacement of diesel-powered cars and staff buses at the terminals with electric powered vehicles, and the shift of fuel from fossil diesel to HVO in machines and cranes.

    New container terminal in Copenhagen

    By & Havn’s advisors are preparing materials for distribution in the prequalification phase with the goal of locating suitable candidates for a design and build contract at the future container terminal in the port in Copenhagen. The task will be sent out at the end of March 2022 the prequalification phase, and the container terminal is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
