  • Strong start to 2025 at Copenhagen Malmö Port’s container terminal in Copenhagen

    Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP) is pleased to report a strong start to the year at its container terminal in Copenhagen. During the first five months of 2025, the terminal handled a total of over 49,100 TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units), representing an increase of 12,100 TEU or 32.7% compared to the same period in 2024.

  • The annual and sustainability report for 2024 is now available

    CMP’s annual meeting was held 4 June in Malmö, Sweden. The website is now updated with the latest annual and sustainability report, which you can read here.

    Summary 2024:
    Turnover reached a record high, exceeding SEK 1 billion for the first time. It amounted to MSEK 1,049, an increase of 7.5% compared with the previous year, mainly driven by growth in sectors such as Cruise, Liquid Bulk

  • Approval for continued development of the port in Malmö

    Högsta domstolen has not granted permission to review the case in which Malmö stad applied to carry out land reclamation in Norra Hamnen. This means that the decision of Mark- och miljööverdomstolen stands, and the work to develop the port's capacity can continue.

  • New simulation study paves the way for enhanced safety for container traffic to CMP’s new container terminal in Ydre Nordhavn

    In collaboration with Force Technology, DanPilot, the Danish Maritime Authority, and By & Havn, CMP has recently conducted a comprehensive simulation study at Force Technology’s full-mission simulator in Lyngby. The purpose of the study was to assess conditions to ensure the safe arrival and departure of container vessels at the new container terminal in Ydre Nordhavn.

  • CMP introduces environmental discounts

    At the start of next year, CMP will introduce environmental discounts for all ship categories at its ports, based on the internationally recognised Environmental Ship Index (ESI), which indexes the environmental and climate impact of ships based on several parameters.

  • New, modern Harbour House on the way in Copenhagen

    In connection with the construction of Copenhagen's new container terminal in Ydre Nordhavn, construction will also begin on a new Harbour House. After an extensive tendering process, By & Havn has chosen Rasmus Friis A/S as the design and build contractor for the project.
