2026 marks CMP’s 25th anniversary. The year after the Oresund Bridge opened, Copenhagen Malmö Port was established – at that time the world’s only port company operating across national borders. One port. Two cities. Two countries. Since 2018, CMP has also grown to include a third city, with operations in Visby.

Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP) is pleased to report a strong start to the year at its container terminal in Copenhagen. During the first five months of 2025, the terminal handled a total of over 49,100 TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units), representing an increase of 12,100 TEU or 32.7% compared to the same period in 2024.

On Monday, June 2nd, H.M. King Frederik X of Denmark officially inaugurated Copenhagen’s shore power facility for cruise vessels at an event at CMP's cruise terminals at Oceankaj.
CMP has now received the second and final STS crane for the new container terminal in Ydre Nordhavn. The crane arrived from Konecranes in Finland and was unloaded next to the first STS crane, which was received in April.
Five of CMP's eight new Konecranes straddle carriers have been relocated to their new home – the new container terminal at Ydre Nordhavn.
