  • Neptunes will reduce noise

    Neptunes is the project that is getting to grips with the noise issue. CMP and a number of other ports are behind the collaboration. The aim is to produce a standard for measurement and classification from which the entire industry can benefit – and which will reduce noise in the long-term!

  • VMU - the global shipping worlds own university

    Global shipping has its own university in Malmö: the World Maritime University (WMU), which has educated thousands of students over the years. CMP supports WMU’s activities in various ways.

  • Doubled crane capacity in Northern Habour

    The capacity in Northern Harbour in Malmö is being expanded from one to two cranes, CMP’s large container crane will be accompanied by a mobile crane that is located alongside one of our quays.

    After many years on the line between Malmö and Travemünde, it is time for Nordlink to service the route between Kapellskär in Sweden and Nådendal in Finland.

    Visby is a classic cruise destination, with a new terminal set to increase flows of tourists in 2018. The tourism industry on the island is now getting ready to receive cruise passengers in the optimum way.

  • Meeting with Swedish Minister for Infrastructure

    For the first time ever, representatives from all of Sweden’s ports gathered at the Ministry of Industry, Employment and Communication in Stockholm last week. The reason was that the Minister for Infrastructure, Tomas Eneroth, had invited them to attend a meeting to discuss the ports’ role in the future transport system.

  • Visby to double number of cruise ship passengers in 2018

    Visby's new cruise ship terminal is scheduled to open in the near future. CMP will be responsible for operations at this location, where the number of passengers is expected to double in 2018 compared to this year. This larger number of arrivals is mainly down to the fact that Visby is now able to welcome larger vessels.

  • Boost in collaboration with SCA logistics

    Increased volumes and new types of freight. This is the result thus far of CMP’s collaboration with SCA Logistics. Malmö is the hub for environmentally-friendly local shipping, which transports everything from paper products and new cars to large machinery and recycled fibre.

  • Copenhagen attracting more Christmas cruises in 2017

    Christmas is bringing cruise passengers to Copenhagen. This year there will be more Christmas and New Year cruises than usual. This December CMP will be welcoming around 6,000 passengers, who will visit attractions including the classic Christmas market at Tivoli.

  • CMP steps up collaboration with the contruction industry

    CMP’s focus on delivering logistical solutions to the construction industry is bearing fruit. There is a high level of interest in this new area, as not only are we able to offer large areas in central locations in Copenhagen, but we can also deliver solutions in the form of managing our customers’ logistics terminal so that they can concentrate on construction.
