By & Havn’s advisors are preparing materials for distribution in the prequalification phase with the goal of locating suitable candidates for a design and build contract at the future container terminal in the port in Copenhagen. The task will be sent out at the end of March 2022 the prequalification phase, and the container terminal is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
500,000 tonnes of CO₂ will be removed from the atmosphere annually, which will significantly contribute to Copenhagen’s goal of becoming the world’s first carbon neutral capital by 2025. As a consequence of the corona crisis, several cruise lines have since long emptied their ships of cruise passengers. Most of these ships have a limited number of crew members on board, which is necessary to maintain the ships. There is therefore a great need for ships to be able to call at ports around the world for what we call “technical calls”.
