  • Now the DFDS ferries in Copenhagen will be receiving shore power

    ​The work to establish a shore power facility at the DFDS ferry terminal in Copenhagen is in full swing. The initiative is a joint collaboration between CMP and DFDS, with the Swedish company Actemium as contractor and COWI as technical advisor. The facility is expected to be operational in late summer 2021 and will makes it possible for DFDS’ ferries to significantly reduce CO2 emissions.

  • The first cruise ships of the year call the port in Copenhagen

    After a long, long wait, the first cruise ships of the season will arrive at our docks in Copenhagen this weekend. These are initially blue cruises, where passengers do not disembark but rather visit the city from the seaside. CMP has high expectations that cruise ship tourists soon will be allowed to visit the city again as part of the next phase of the gradual opening for travel activities.

  • Technical cruise call in Copenhagen

Most of these ships have a limited number of crew members on board, which is necessary to maintain the ships. There is therefore a great need for ships to be able to call at ports around the world for what we call “technical calls”.
