CMP is taking the container terminal in Copenhagen one step further in work to rationalise our processes and is therefore now offering a Mobile Self Service function for hauliers to use. This is taking place in a partnership with PIC IT, who are already our suppliers of the Terminal Operations System (TOS) PIC.
On July 14-17, Malmö was visited by the Argentinian navy’s training ship, the full-rigged ARA Libertad. At 3,765 gross tonnes, the ship, which was built in 1956, is 104 m long and has a draught of 6.6 m. This makes her one of largest ships in her class in the world.

Copenhagen Malmö Port, CMP, received the distinguished accolade ”Certificate of zero Damages FY2016” as a confirmation of the fact that the damage rate for car handling in Malmö is essentially zero. It was announced at the NYK Group Europe Ltd RORO Division’s annual quality conference in Zeebrugge earlier this week.

The cruise ship Seven Seas Explorer will arrive in Copenhagen for the first time on June 18. Seven Seas Explorer is 224 metres long, takes 750 passengers and belongs to the shipping company Regent Seven Seas Cruises. During its time in Copenhagen, Seven Seas Explorer will be berthed at the Langelinie cruise ship quay.
Now, liquid bulk handling capacity is being fine tuned. CMP is investing in yet another automatic loading arm at Prøvestenen. This will make loading more effective but also increase safety.
The cruise ship Mein Schiff 6 will arrive in Copenhagen for the first time on May 18. Mein Schiff 6 is 295 metres long, takes 2,500 passengers and belongs to the shipping company TUI Cruises. During its time in Copenhagen, Mein Schiff 6 will be berthed at the Langelinie cruise ship quay.
CMP focuses on some of its collaborative partners, which are the reason that, time after time, the port is able to pick up awards and recognition as the best cruise port and destination. The cruise visitors love Copenhagen, and in the high season the city’s tourist guides are kept busy showing them around the capital
CMP have handled the first call of supply ships in collaboration with J.D. Contractors. This was handled as ship-to-ship operation. Among the lifts was a heavy lift of a sea plow with a weight of 43 tons.
CMP is a logistics hub for different kinds of goods – and now also for carton packaging. BillerudKorsnäs transports cartons to Malmö, where they are reloaded and transported on to customers in Sweden and Germany.
