The first arrival in Visby
Astoria was the first ship to arrive at the new cruise quay in Visby today, entirely according to plan. It marks the start of the 2018 cruise season and CMP is delighted that the new terminal is now open. 550 passengers arrived early in the morning and many of them chose to proceed onward by bus to discover Gotland. The quay will be officially inaugurated on 29 April with specially invited guests in the morning. The quay will be opened to the public in the afternoon between 14.00 and 16.00.
A plaque was also handed over to the ship in connection with the first arrival. The picture shows Henrik Ahlqvist, Terminal Manager, CMP, Meit Fohlin, Chair of the Regional Council, Cecilia Schelin-Seidegård, County Governor and Peter Lindvall, Regional Director.
The pictures were taken by CMP.
