The consultation phase has begun - Ydre Nordhavn

By & Havn and Copenhagen Malmö Port wish to establish a container terminal and a new cruise terminal in Ydre Nordhavn and at the same time make the harbour deeper off the new terminals.

It will involve relocation of the existing container terminal at Levantkaj, which will then be closed down when the new container terminal has been established. This is being done to create space for urban development further in Nordhavn.

The project has a requirement for an environmental consequences description, for which reason an environmental consequences report will be prepared in order to obtain the authorities’ permit for the project.

The consultation phase in connection with the assessment of the environmental consequences of the project has begun today. The consultation period runs until 18 May 2018.

During the consultation period it is possible to put forward ideas and suggestions for topics and circumstances that shall be included in the ongoing environmental consequences analysis and assessment. Consultation responses are to be sent to the Danish Environmental Protection Agency (circumstances onshore) and to the Danish Transport, Construction and Housing Authority, which will then handle the hearing responses.

Read the material on the Danish Environmental Protection Agency's website.
