Record at container terminal in Copenhagen

CMP set a new record at the container terminal in Copenhagen in September. A total of 955 lifting operations took place on one vessel, corresponding to 1,601 TEUs.

“The previous record, from August this year, was 796 containers, but this time we unloaded 349 fully laden containers and then loaded 503 empty containers and 103 full ones on board the vessel Bomar Victory,” says Birgitte Krabbe, Terminal Operations Manager at Copenhagen Malmö Port.

A total of 35 people worked on this vessel operation from CMP, and it took a total of 27 hours to complete the task. We worked with both cranes on day 1, achieving an average number of 41 movements per hour. On day 2 we spent just over four hours working on the ship, primarily taking care of lashing work.
