Public meeting Ydre Nordhavn

On Tuesday, 25 June 2019, Copenhagen Malmö Port and By & Havn held a public meeting about effects on the environment in connection with the relocation of the container terminal and the establishment of a new cruise terminal in Ydre Nordhavn. Powerpoint presentation from the meeting can now be downloaded here.

The public meeting took place in Terminal 3 at Oceankaj in Ydre Nordhavn, with a view of the water. Right here, in extension of Terminal 3, Copenhagen Malmö Port plans to establish a new and fourth cruise terminal.

At the meeting, the citizens appearing could hear more about the plans of the fourth terminal while at the same time learn about to the visions to relocate the present container terminal at Levantkaj to the tip of Ydre Nordhavn. The two construction projects are covered by a requirement for en environmental impact assessment (EIA), and the public meeting was held since the so-called environmental impact report of the projects is in consultation until 29 July 2019.

During the meeting, Maria Douglas Stilling, senior consultant for By & Havn, went through the contents of the environmental impact report, and among other things stated how the two projects are assessed at impacting plants and animals, air and climate as well as traffic. At the meeting, there were presentations from Povl Dolleris Røjkjær Ungar, COO of Copenhagen Malmö Port, Brian Kristensen, who is also COO of Copenhagen Malmö Port, and Rita Justesen, the manager of Planning and Sustainability of By & Havn.

At the website of the Danish Environmental Protection Agency you will find the entire material which has been submitted to consultation and which was reviewed at the meeting.

If you want to send a consultation response, it must be done no later than 29 July, and you must send your response to one of the following email addresses: mst@mst.dk or info@tbst.dk or chbe@tbst.dk.
