Meet ud at the Nordic region's leading transport trade fair

Malmö Industrial Park will be at Logistics & Transport – the Nordic region’s leading trade fair for everybody working with freight flows – in 2019 too. Malmö City and CMP will occupy a joint stand to show why Sweden’s best logistics location is in Malmö.

It is now the fourth year in succession that Malmö Industrial Park is is part of Logistics & Transport, which will be held on 5 and 6 November in Gothenburg.

“This is a really good trade fair, with lots of ports and other key actors now participating,” observes Ann-Charlotte Halldén-Åkeson, Key Account Manager at CMP.

This year the fair’s focus includes intermodal transportation, which is one of the strengths of Malmö Industrial Park. Establishments in the industrial park have continued during 2019, most recently via MG Real Estate which is developing a 65,000 square metre site. Corem Property Group is also developing land in the area, with the focus on a new logistics centre.

“So, despite the more uncertain situation for the global economy, we feel that there is substantial interest in Malmö and the region,” says Olle Anderberg, project manager at the Real Estate and Highways Department in Malmö City.

The industrial park will be profiled at the trade fair based on three messages – one is ”Ready to go”.

“This emphasises how quickly and simply companies can establish themselves. The local plan for the area has been completed and we have worked consistently to make the process flexible. It is possible to move in just six months after signing the contract,” Olle Anderberg says.

“A perfect location for growth” and “Smart City and harbour” are two other messages that the visitors will encounter at the stand.

“We want to highlight the fact that the unique position paves the way for growth opportunities in companies which choose Malmö,” Ann-Charlotte Halldén-Åkeson sums up. “Moreover, smart new collaborations can be established in the port area via what is called industrial symbiosis, where companies derive benefit from each other’s resources and develop common services.”

At this year’s Logistics & Transport Malmö Industrial Park will be on stand: A 01:01.
