Green Cargo and the Belgium firm, Lineas, have increased the number of train departures on the popular direct route, Belgium Direct, between Sweden and Belgium for existing and new customers. Visby's new cruise ship terminal is scheduled to open in the near future. CMP will be responsible for operations at this location, where the number of passengers is expected to double in 2018 compared to this year. This larger number of arrivals is mainly down to the fact that Visby is now able to welcome larger vessels.

Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP) enjoyed a strong year in 2018. Turnover increased by approx. eight percent from SEK 839 million to SEK 908 million. The cruise segment once again broke records and contributed strongly to the increased turnover, partly due to the newly opened cruise quay in Visby.

Increased volumes and new types of freight. This is the result thus far of CMP’s collaboration with SCA Logistics. Malmö is the hub for environmentally-friendly local shipping, which transports everything from paper products and new cars to large machinery and recycled fibre.
